Returning to the stage on which she produced a name for herself, Jennifer Hudson joined Ne-Yo for a performance on Thursday night’s (April 12) episode of “American Idol”.

The duo teamed up for a rendition of their song “Believe Like a Man,” with Miss Hudson being one particular of the Fox competition series’ most prominent former contestants despite the truth that she did not even end up the season’s winner.

As for the current season, the night’s “Idol” took a turn from the norm – as the supposed elimination show sent not a one particular individual packing.

With Elise Testone, Joshua Ledet and Jessica Sanchez surprisingly in the bottom 3, the audience showed their full disapproval in the form of thunderous ‘boos’ as it was announced that Miss Sanchez would be the a single headed home.

With Jessica taking the stage for her redemption song, the “American Idol” judges interrupted before she even finished the tune to proclaim their selection to “save” her from dismissal.

Explaining the move, Randy Jackson told the crowd and viewers at house, “This girl is a single of the greatest singers in America – ever.”
