Lohan: Prepared to clear up the hit-and-run incident.

Lindsay Lohan’s arrest for allegedly striking a pedestrian with her Porsche and leaving the scene is “much ado about nothing,” her publicist tells the Associated Press.

In an e-mail to the AP, Steve Honig also said that, “We are confident this matter will be cleared up in the coming weeks and the claims being made against Lindsay will be proven untrue.”

As noted in the morning mix, Lohan was arrested in New York early this morning after she allegedly grazed a pedestrian while parking her car at a hotel. The pedestrian was transported to a hospital with a knee injury and later released. Lohan was taken into custody after returning to retrieve her car, and booked on a misdemeanor charge of leaving the scene of an accident.

TMZ has reported that surveillance video at the Dream Hotel indicates the incident was blown out of proportion. Lohan has not yet commented, on Twitter or elsewhere. To the regret of everyone, neither has Amanda Bynes.
