It looks like Ryan Lochte’s quest to achieve notable super stardom is just starting. Since Lochte has returned from the triumphant London Olympic games the swimmer has let his number one goal to become a celebrity known amongst the various media outlets.

Since then, he’s already managed to film a guest spot on CW’s 902010, and now it looks as though he’s interested in finding love through reality television. ABCs’s The Bachelor has their eye on him, and word is that Lochte is interested as well, but not without a hefty price.

Ryan, who knows that he’s worth a pretty penny, or at least enough to coin his own ridiculous “Jeah!” phrase, is reportedly asking for a big price if ABC wants him to be their new bachelor. According to the Daily Mail, the medalist is asking for $ 750,00, which is a lot more than Roberto Martinez received to be on the show.

An insider close to team Lochte dished on Ryan’s post-Olympic mindset:

“Ryan is acutely aware that he has to attach himself to the right projects and endorsements that won’t do damage to his all American image. As much as he’d like to do it, Ryan does have some reservations about The Bachelor because he wouldn’t have any control on how he is portrayed on the show.”

The asking price is pretty hefty for someone who’s new to the reality television gig, but perhaps ABC will make an exception for Lochte’s questionable charming personality, and golden boy looks. Do you think Ryan Lochte will be interesting to watch on The Bachelor?
